يقع المتحف البحري الوطني أو متحف الآثار البحرية الوطني في جالي، سريلانكا داخل حصن جالي. تم افتتاحه لأول مرة للجمهور في 9 مايو 1992 ويقع في مستودع هولندي يعود تاريخه إلى عام 1671 فوق البوابة القديمة لحصن جالي. وبينما نجا المبنى الذي يضم المتحف من تأثير تسونامي 26 ديسمبر 2004، فقد دمرت وحدة الآثار البحرية التابعة لليونسكو المجاورة بالكامل وتضررت جميع المعروضات بسبب الفيضانات وفُقدت غالبية القطع الأثرية البحرية. وفي إطار برنامج التعاون الثقافي بين سريلانكا وهولندا، قدمت الحكومة الملكية الهولندية مساعدة مالية لإعادة بناء المتحف البحري. وبعد فترة 3 سنوات من إعادة الإعمار، أعيد افتتاح المتحف البحري للجمهور.
The National Maritime Museum or National Maritime Archaeology Museum in Galle, Sri Lanka is situated within Galle Fort. It was first opened to the public on 9 May 1992 and is located in a 1671 Dutch Warehouse above the Old Gate of Galle Fort. Whilst the building housing the museum survived the impact of the 26 December 2004 tsunami, the adjoining UNESCO Maritime Archaeology Unit was completely destroyed and all the exhibitions were flood damage and the majority of maritime archeological artifacts were lost. Under Sri Lanka – Netherlands Cultural Co-operation Program, the Royal Government of Netherlands provided financial assistance for reconstruction of the Maritime Museum. After 3 years period of reconstruction, the Maritime Museum was re-opened to the public.
இலங்கையின் காலியில் உள்ள தேசிய கடல்சார் அருங்காட்சியகம் அல்லது தேசிய கடல்சார் தொல்பொருள் அருங்காட்சியகம் காலி கோட்டைக்குள் அமைந்துள்ளது. இது முதன்முதலில் 9 மே 1992 இல் பொதுமக்களுக்கு திறக்கப்பட்டது மற்றும் காலி கோட்டையின் பழைய வாயிலுக்கு மேலே 1671 டச்சு கிடங்கில் அமைந்துள்ளது. 26 டிசம்பர் 2004 சுனாமியின் தாக்கத்திலிருந்து அருங்காட்சியகம் இருக்கும் கட்டிடம் தப்பிய நிலையில், அருகில் இருந்த யுனெஸ்கோ கடல்சார் தொல்பொருள் பிரிவு முற்றிலும் அழிக்கப்பட்டது மற்றும் அனைத்து கண்காட்சிகளும் வெள்ள சேதம் மற்றும் பெரும்பாலான கடல்சார் தொல்பொருள் கலைப்பொருட்கள் இழக்கப்பட்டன. இலங்கை - நெதர்லாந்து கலாச்சார ஒத்துழைப்பு திட்டத்தின் கீழ், நெதர்லாந்தின் அரசாங்கம் கடல்சார் அருங்காட்சியகத்தை புனரமைப்பதற்கு நிதி உதவி வழங்கியது. 3 வருட கால புனரமைப்புக்குப் பிறகு, கடல்சார் அருங்காட்சியகம் பொதுமக்களுக்கு மீண்டும் திறக்கப்பட்டது.
